Aftermovie Book presentation and opening solo exhibition

On December 2, 2023, the time had finally come: the book launch for our book "Brabantse Volksverhalen" (Brabant Folk Stories). Naomi Jansen and I presented the book to Mayor Paul Depla of the Municipality of Breda. We were interviewed by Ingrid Boschman. The exhibition opened simultaneously. It features 23 full-size works. It's a selection of the work I created last year for the book "Brabantse Volksverhalen."
The exhibition is freely accessible until January 7, 2024, at Bühne Breda, Sint Janstraat 11.

Exhibition "Art in context"

Two of my works were exhibited at the "Art in Context" exhibition at Brandpunt Breda. The works were displayed in a stylish setting so people could also find inspiration for their interior and art.
The works in question were: "Inspiration is everywhere" and "Rooftop New York"

Exhibition "Everything is Possible" - Public Works Rotterdam

In 2021, Publiek Werken held a citywide exhibition to fill the void left by the lack of advertising on billboards. They also wanted to demonstrate that imagination is more rewarding than emptiness.
During the coronavirus pandemic, there was an increased need for connection. And with imagination, anything is possible. I drew this family, without face masks and without social distancing, enjoying dinner among the organic plants, contrasting with the structure, lines, and skyline of Rotterdam.
In this work, I also sought the right balance between black, white, and hatching. Because hatching is my "color," alongside black and white.
This illustration was on display in the Public Works outdoor exhibition. It was an outdoor exhibition throughout Rotterdam featuring works by over 600 visual artists.

Artists from many different countries gave their interpretation of the village of Saillon through a drawing.
These drawings are displayed among the houses of Saillon. This exhibition was organized by the Palp Festival.
Solo exhibition of illustrations during Breda Culture Night 2020

On January 25th it was culture night and my exhibition opened in gallery Cultkitchen (Lachapellestraat 7, Breda) The work was on display for a month until February 28th 2020. On Friday February 8th I gave an artist talk in Cultkitchen with Raymond Assink during the monthly Kraai edition.
